Hit Makers: The Science of Popularity in an Age of Distraction
Derek Thompson is one of my favorite (contemporary) writers. Naturally when I found out about his book I wanted to read it as soon as possible. Like most of his articles, Hit Makers is well written, offers great examples and suggest some explications for why we like what we like and how the combination of old and new can make a song/book/app become viral.
